I live on an island where all Internet goes through one microwave link, and we connect to that via DSL. In fact, we had faster speeds in the 90s, now we have more and more people connecting phones and tablets and God knows what, and trying to stream and torrent, all going though the same bottleneck.

But in the early 90s I had 56k dialup. Took all day to download 50 MB from Usenet.

So whining about slow 350 kbps doesn't get much sympathy from me.
